What was said vs. when funds moved
The genesis wallet behind the monthly stream is IOG's, by citation, and over 2021–2022 funds linked to it flowed, dated, into the consolidation address. This page places those dated on-chain movements beside Charles Hoskinson's public statements from the same months: public bullishness on one side, the timing of the flows on the other.
Our backward trace ends at a Byron genesis wallet of exactly 2,463,071,701 ADA. The official Cardano genesis distribution lists three founding-entity allocations, and IOHK’s is 2,463,071,701 ADA, an exact match to the lovelace:
| IOHK / IOG | 2,463,071,701 ADA | ← where the trace ends |
| EMURGO | 2,074,165,644 ADA | |
| Cardano Foundation | 648,176,761 ADA |
Source: cardano.org/genesis. At genesis this was the single largest UTXO, and no other genesis wallet was allocated this balance, so the identification is unambiguous: the terminus is IOHK/IOG. We bound that to genesis; we cannot rule out a larger consolidated balance forming later (an exchange, for instance), so we make no largest-ever claim. Every downstream wallet (relay, consolidation address, endpoints) stays unattributed.
On the left, his public hype from the same months: 27 videos from his channel (and the Cardano Summit keynote), with 60 clipped moments, plus 11 of his tweets. The themes are what was coming for ADA: smart contracts (Goguen, Alonzo, Plutus), the ERC20 converter, Hydra throughput, dApps migrating from Ethereum, Djed, Ethiopia adoption, the teased "birds", and the recurring "Rogan after Goguen" line. Video cards open the clip at the exact moment; tweet cards link to the original post. On the right, each marker is an IOG-genesis-linked transfer into the consolidation address (51 transfers, ≈1166M ADA, 2021–2022).
This is a juxtaposition of public facts, not an accusation. The video quotes are machine-transcribed from YouTube auto-captions and may contain errors; always open the clip and verify against the source before relying on any wording. The tweets are quoted from his public account; each card links to the original. "Sent" here means value moved on-chain to the consolidation address; it is not proof of a sale. We make no claim that these movements were sales; we show only that they match, in size and cadence, the pattern the original tweet described. The genesis wallet is IOG's (cited); the consolidation address and its operators are unattributed. We draw no conclusion that any statement was false; the timeline is here for you to assess.
Selling what you hold is legitimate; what a standard guards against is staying publicly bullish while privately selling into the same hype. The caveats cover the selling-and-disclosure question in full.
On each deposit card, the bar fills toward the full 2021–2022 inflow: the dim gold is everything sent before that deposit, the bright gold is the deposit itself. It reads how much of the total had arrived, and when.
